Nats Giddy After Clean Sweep<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
Facing the worst team in the NL turned out to be just the tonic the Nats needed for their recent woes. The took all three games of their first series in the Mile High City by a combined score of 21 – 4. Esteban Loaiza<\/b>, Tony Armas, Jr.<\/b> and John Patterson<\/b> all got some well deserved wins in the least friendly pitchers park in the sport.<\/p>\n

Now it is on to the city of brotherly love for a big series aganist the WWN<\/i> Ombudsman’s<\/b> beloved Fleas. Both teams are tied<\/strike> Washington is 1\/2 game behind Philadelphia in the NL East and 1 1\/2 games behind Houston for the Wild Card, thanks to the Pirates victory over the Astros<\/b><\/a> (Post-Gazette<\/i>). These four games might make or break either team.<\/p>\n

We can only hope the Nats are as effective in the land of the eastern I-76 as they were around the western I-76. It is $1 dog night up there, so if you needed an extra incentive to head up I-95, there you have it. Both Philly papers have previews<\/b><\/a> (The Inky<\/i>) of the series starting tonight<\/b><\/a> (Philly Daily News<\/i>).<\/p>\n
