Cincy 5 The District 3<\/h4>\n

Nats Fail to Seize the Day<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
Today’s big question is “are the Nats done?” Mike Wise<\/b><\/a> thinks so, but then again, he has been ready to pounce for a week\/since April. At least he thinks Bowden should go.<\/p>\n

Back to yesterday’s game, the Reds got off to an early lead, the Nats tied it in the 2nd, but in the 5th, the Reds pulled ahead. In the 7th the wheels started coming off. Ken Griffey, Jr.<\/b> hit a solo shot (one of three hits) and the Reds scored two more runs to put the game away. <\/p>\n

Brad Wilkerson<\/b> hit a two run homer in the ninth, but it was too little too late. <\/p>\n

Livan Hernandez<\/b>, a mere mortal now, continued to struggle. At times he pitched well, striking out the side in the 4th, but he could not keep it going. The reason for his decline has yet to be revealed, but it could be mental or physical. One wonders if we will find out in the offseason.<\/p>\n

Back to Bowden, does anyone want to join me in delivering some Domino’s to him? I figure we could get it at lunch time, but wait a few hours to take it over to his office at RFK (presuming he has one).<\/p>\n
