Loss Leaves Nats Wistful<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
It was not much of a showing for our Nationals. Barry Bonds<\/b>, villain, homered in the first with a man on. That was all the Giants would need as the Nats could not get enough men on base often enough to do much damage. The only run of the game came off an infield hit that Cristian Guzman<\/b> ran out, allowing Vinny Castilla<\/b> to score.<\/p>\n

John Patterson<\/b> did not pitch his best game, though did strikeout Bonds a couple of times. Giants pitcher Brad Hennessey<\/b> went yard off of Paterson; it was that kind of night.<\/p>\n
