When it comes to higher education and Penn State in particular, the legislative branch of Pennsylvania&#8217;s government is cheap, preferring to give themselves pay raises and think of ways to attract more Super Wal-Farts. Is it any wonder that around 40% of grads leave Pennsylvania within one year of graduation? They have to find jobs that pay enough to pay back their loans. Thankfully, the D.C. area has many of those, so the region is full of Penn Staters, even if WJLA ignores that fact.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that Penn State is starting to hold the line again, a little bit.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"smhead\" href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/news\/education\/2005-10-04-tuition-survey_x.htm\"><b>Double-digit hikes are down<\/b><\/a> &#8211; <i>USA Today<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Of course, I was an out-of-state student and I only help recruit out-of-state students, so this is kind of a moot point for me.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\">&copy;MMX William F.
