NATS NEWS WHILE I WAS AWAY<\/h2>\n

I am still recovering for a big football weekend (more soon) so I am behind on my Nationals coverage. <\/p>\n

On Saturday, The Post<\/i> finished off their series on potential Nats owners with profiles of the Franklin L. Haney Sr<\/b><\/a> and Albert L. Lord <\/b><\/a> groups. <\/p>\n

Saturday also saw Thom Loverro’s<\/b> of The Wash. Times<\/i> disappointment that Pat Gillick<\/b> became the general manager of the Phillies in November 2005<\/b><\/a> when he could have been the Nats GM<\/b><\/a> in November 2004.<\/p>\n

Lastly, today’s USA Today<\/i> features opinion from Tom Krattenmaker<\/b> on proselytizing in pro sports, including Baseball Chapel, which came under fire<\/b><\/a> after remarks by Ryan Church<\/b> late in the season. His conclusion — let them stay, just bring in other faiths. Amen.<\/p>\n
