The Loudoun group is now publicly saying they cannot pull off their “town center” concept that would accompany a ballpark. I do not know what this all means in the end, but that was a big selling point for the whole package.

They are scheduled as just the “Expos” and not the Montreal Expos. Also, Hal Bodley wonders if they have home dates when Baltimore is on the road. I hope so.

I caught the first few minutes of the Nittany Lion Hotline radio show last night. It is so close you can almost taste it! You can listen here. I also picked up tickets for the first two games. None other than BOBBIE JO is on the 2nd game’s tix. She will be missed and apparently, not succeeded; at least this season.

Our favorite hoops scribe, Dave Jones takes a look at the Men’s basketball schedule, which looks promising with all of the Saturday games. However, most promising for those of us in BeltwayLand is that they will be playing Georgetown in D.C. Mark Monday, December 6 on your calendar. I am sure the Metro D.C. Alumni chapter will have a happy hour before the game and a block of tickets for the game. Oh and Jonesy, the “new” MCI Center will have been open about seven years to the day when the Lions play there. –
