ONLY 2 DAYS UNTIL KICKOFF
Judgment day Joe Paterno will bring his team before the nation – The Collegian
I think that may be a bit melodramatic, but it is a big day nonetheless. There is also a PDF available to download.
Robinson part of offense, even without set position – The Collegian
More praise for Multi-Back, Michael Robinson.
O-line welcomes new blocking scheme – The Colleigan
A greatly improved offensive line would cover up a lot of other problems and will probably make the biggest difference between winning and losing. An ordinary QB with excellent protection can be exceptional (all-time example: Mark Rypien on the ’91 Redskins) and a good running game tends to make the defense much better. I hope this is the case.
Twirlers set to go without Blue Sapphire – The Collegian
Should we really be surprised that no one will try to fill Bobbie Jo Solomon’s shoes? That she cannot be replaced only adds to her legacy of greatness.
Football: Richardson grows into new position – Post-Gazette
A day after the other Pittsburgh area paper profiled him, Andrew Richardson gets the same treatment from the P-G.
Shaw looking forward to starting at middle linebacker – Tribune-Review
Former RB and now starting MLB Tim Shaw is profiled.
Penn State’s Gilmore glad just to be playing again – The Morning Call
Backup FB Pete Gilmore is profiled. Also, check out The Morning Call’s blog, Nittany Lines which was updated with a season preview. Other Penn State blogs can be found on the right navigation.
Receivers look to catch fire, win some games – Times-Leader
They better catch fire. Last year was amazing, I could not believe a group of WRs could be so bad.
PC UPDATE
My video card is finished and that may be the root of the problem or just another piece of the puzzle. So, I will have to take care of that when I get back. I will continue to use Erica’s PC in the interim. Also, I plan on having another update today in the afternoon. Stay tuned!
