P Hector Carrasco, starting for only the second time in his career because of John Patterson’s bronchitis (it was sinusitis) allowed a run over four innings. The bullpen was solid the rest of the way, with Gary Majewski picking up the win. Chad Cordero rebounded from Sunday’s loss to pick up the save.

Also, MLB is said to be holding off the sale because D.C. has not signed the lease for the new ballpark yet. Hmm, what an unfortunate circumstance for MLB, they have to just sit around and keep making money of the Nationals.
