NATS NEWS WHILE I WAS AWAY
I am still recovering for a big football weekend (more soon) so I am behind on my Nationals coverage.
On Saturday, The Post finished off their series on potential Nats owners with profiles of the Franklin L. Haney Sr and Albert L. Lord groups.
Saturday also saw Thom Loverro’s of The Wash. Times disappointment that Pat Gillick became the general manager of the Phillies in November 2005 when he could have been the Nats GM in November 2004.
Lastly, today’s USA Today features opinion from Tom Krattenmaker on proselytizing in pro sports, including Baseball Chapel, which came under fire after remarks by Ryan Church late in the season. His conclusion — let them stay, just bring in other faiths. Amen.
