Countdown to council vote: T-minus 3 days

Williams, Cropp Push To Tweak Stadium LeaseThe Post
A Williams/Cropp tagteam is working with MLB’s Bob DuPuy to get some changes in the lease agreement (“relatively minor clarifications in wording”) as well as push the federal government for renovations to the Navy Yard Metro station.

Cropp declined to fully endorse the lease but said, “Most of my concerns will be addressed, and I think that I’ll have enough level of comfort.”

So what is new there? They still have to get two more yes votes from the council, assuming Jack Evans (D-Ward 2), Kathy Patterson (D-Ward 3), Vincent B. Orange Sr. (D-Ward 5) and Sharon Ambrose (D-Ward 6) are all on board. It will probably come down to Phil Mendelson (D-At Large), Kwame R. Brown (D-At Large) and Vincent C. Gray (D-Ward 7).

Meanwhile The Wash. Times reports on those aganist passing the agreement.
