Welcome to the 11th generation of my Web site

For me, yesterday was Geek Saturday, a day when I could finally get to update the William World News design; just in time for the ballpark lease disaster.

Some details on the new design:

  • After nearly ten years online, I am finally to 11th version. As you can see, 11 is my favorite number. Since Apple gave code names to each of their versions of OS X (Jaguar, Panther, Tabby), I figure I will do the same so, welcome to the Danny White version of my Web site.
  • As part of the upgrade, I set up some syndication, because you demanded it. Actually, it was planned for a while now, though I did not think I would get to it until after Christmas. Here is to being ahead of things! The old design was not terribly RSS friendly.
  • I developed the new site with a basic text editor. It does not deliberately discriminate against any particular browser/platform. I used Firefox 1.5 while creating the new design.
  • Generally speaking, I changed the font sizes a little bit and will be avoiding banner headlines for everyday posts. I am tried to make the site less blocky looking too.
  • Changes to the other pages of my site will come soon and I am sure there will be some tweaks along the way. What do you think?
