Portland reprimanded – CDT
Rene Portland is keeping her job as Lady Lions head coach, but the university is smacking her around after an investigation into allegations made by former Lady Lion Jennifer Harris. Harris said that Portland accused her of being a lesbian and kicked her off the team. Portland is out $10,000 and is on a pretty short leash.

The public humiliation that Portland received from the incident is the real punishment. This will be used against her and Penn State in recruiting.

Portland has been scrutinized for years over alleged anti-lesbian remarks and something has finally stuck. She appears to be unrepentant.
