$50 for a Jagr jersey?

Jerseys enjoy short shelf lifeThe Wash. Times
This is a space-filler article about obsolete jerseys. What really struck me is the picture of a Jagr jersey priced for $50 at Modell’s. Really, how can that be a good idea? $50 is a lot to pay for a guy who was traded over two years ago and was widely seen as a failure in Chocolate City. Modell’s would be better served by slashing the price to $20 or just donating them instead of trying to sell them for $50. I have to think they could put something on that rack that would bring in more $.

Anyway, hockey and baseball are two sports that don’t need players names or even numbers on the uniforms. You need them on a football or basketball jersey though. Penn State football jerseys are great because they never have a name, though I have been known to mention to some that my old #14 is really a Todd Blackledge jersey.
