Recent AA callup Beltran Perez had a great first MLB start last night, allowing a mere hit over six innings. He had three strikeouts and no walks. he offense responded with homers from Jose Vidro and Nick Johnson, the birthday boy. Final score 9-2, Washington.

Nats Continue To Line Up Their Affiliates – The Post
The P-Nats have been extended as the Nats Carolina League team for another four years. Harrisburg was also extended (through 2010, I think) but New Orleans, Burlington, Vt. and Savannah have been let go. AAA Columbus, a longtime Yankees affiliate, is in play for the Nats as well, though Norfolk would be quite desirable.
Nationals Farm Authority is the best place to keep up with all of these minor league happenings.
