A Family That Plays Hardball – The Post
I finally read the article about the Lerner family. Nothing in it surprised me, I knew they were all business and were going to stick to whatever deal was made. It would be great if they were more civic minded and willing to chip in some cash, but they are under no obligation to do so. I think the District got wishy-washy on a number of things, like the parking garages. If the city did not want parking garages behind the outfield, they should not have planned them.

Are the Lerners missing the big picture? Maybe, but would you really want to rework a deal with the District? I wouldn’t.

Lastly, there will still be plenty of development in the area and I think it will all work out, perhaps not as well as it could have, but still pretty well.
