Bonnie Bernstein has been on the sidelines for two Penn State games this year where Joe Paterno had to leave the sideline and the team failed to score a touchdown.
The first time I saw the hit that Paterno took on the sidelines I feared a very serious knee injury, but the second time I saw the video I felt as though it was not as bad. Still, it is very unfortunate and I expect Sue will have a little bit to talk about this offseason if not sooner.
If Lynn Swann is not rehired by Wednesday afternoon, I will be very disappointed.
Next year there will be the “Bielema Rule” in the Big11Ten. The two offsides on the kickoffs were pretty clever though, if not the best example of sportsmanship.
What was John Stocco doing throwing the ball with a 10 point lead late in the game while nursing a bad shoulder? i think his coaches let him down.
Since I did not watch a lot of Sunday Night Football in the past, I did not know just how bad Paul MacGuire is in the booth. It seems pretty clear his partners do not care for him or his dietary choices. Bob Griese should have kept it to himself though.

This is the worst bowl-eligible Penn State team I have ever seen. I think the 5-6 2001 team may have actually been better than this outfit.
Prior to today, Penn State was undefeated in games watched from Fritz’s apartment.
