Now that spring training has started, we can look forwrad to newspapers writing about the exact same topics everyday. For example, the three daily papers with Nats beats have articles on John Patterson’s return (The Post, The Wash. Times and The Free Lance-Star, respectively). Big Nasty is the only Nats pitcher with a secure spot in the rotation, provided his is healthy.

All three papers also cover the signing of two over-the-hill veterans, Dmitri Young and former Expo Tony Batista (The Post, The Wash. Times and The Free Lance-Star, respectively), that can hopefully be traded to a contender for prospects. I am a little skeptical that will work.
