Erica and I “crashed” another Caps Bloggers Happy Hour, hosted by Kevin Hatcher Fan Club, yesterday at Bugsy’s in Old Town. The less said about the game the better, but it was great see some faces that become more familiar with each get together. Some observations from the afternoon:
I didn’t like the camera placement at the game.
Every time I watch hockey and Joe Beninati is not doing play-by-play, I appreciate him more. NBC needs to get Gary Thorne on loan or something.
We were part of the minority in attendance who would like the Pengyunz to stay in Pittsburgh.
There were a bunch of Miller Lite girls there. None of them were very cute.
The Rockefeller Center ice rink studio show is a great idea.
The wings at Bugsy’s are also pretty good.
The Daytona 500 was on one of the other TVs. It seemed like every time there was a commercial during the game, there was a crash down there.
My “Senior NASCAR” idea went over well. Think of it, old race car drivers going around circles in Cadillacs, Buicks, Lincolns with their left turn signals on.
That was a nice little snow squall.
