This morning the annual Post baseball preview came out. The online component consists of a piece about how everybody cares about their farms system now and two Thomas Boswell columns and a bunch of PDFs. Yes, washingtonpost.com, winner of every major online newspaper award, is putting most of their content in PDFs.
Anyway, one Boswell column argues that by not spending money now, the Nats will have loads to spend later. Well, maybe. Anyway, in the meantime, while we wait for all the farmhands to grow up Boswell wants all that money that is not being spent now to be spent on at least one major free agent signing a year. Oleanders and Morning Glories has analysis worth reading on the columns.
