Barry Svrluga reports in his Post blog Nationals Journal that 3B Ryan Zimmerman has renewed his contract instead of signing an extension. Don’t worry though, he is under club control through 2011. I don’t have a problem with the Lerners being conservative about signing a 2nd year player to a long, expensive contract.
