NCAA committee reverts to ’05 rule on kickoffsPost-Gazette
Remember the stupid college football rule change that had the clock start as soon as the ball was kicked off? Good news, that rule is gone:

Reverting to the rule that had been in effect through 2005, the clock will start when the ball is legally touched in the field of play by the receiving team. Some coaches exploited that rule last season by purposely having their team go offside on kickoffs to run time off the clock.

Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema exploited that rule at the end of the 1st half vs. the Nittany Lions last season. I’m glad Bielema showed how the rule was stupid, but I wish it had been against somebody else.
