So says, Dick Heller of The Wash. Times. Yesterday was an off day, of course. Another article from that newspaper breaks down the numbers of the Nationals futility. A Post article takes a similar look at the Nats problems at the plate. C Brian Schneider, who had an awful first half in 2006, has already been demoted to eighth (The Post) in the order. It isn’t pretty. At least the bullpen has been solid (The Wash. Examiner).
Rick Snider of The Wash. Examiner doesn’t think much of the Nats making Teddy Roosevelet a buffoon since T.R. probably would have whipped all of his competitors in just about any competition.
Anne Arundel County is equidistant from Washington and Balmer so there are fans of both teams there, according to the Maryland Gazette. I think the same could probably be said of Howard County.
Tonight, the Nats open a series in Atlanta. Matt Chico gets the start against Tim Hudson.
