MILWAUKEE 6 Washington 4 (ESPN Boxscore)

Jason Simontacchi made his Nationals debut last night and pitched well until he gave up a three run shot to Prince Fielder in the sixth. Those accounted for the second, third, and fourth earned run against the hurler and cost the Nats their slim 1-0 lead.

Somehow, the Nats scored four runs. Yeah.

thinks banning alcohol (The Post) in the clubhouse (The Wash. Times) because of Josh Hancock’s DUI death is an overreaction, particularly since Hancock was drinking in bars, not the clubhouse.

As mentioned yesterday, Chad Cordero is on bereavement leave for at least three days and as many as seven. In other roster moves, IF Josh Wilson was DFA’ed, 3B Tony Batista was called up (why?) and so was P Wilson Abreu who gave up a homer to J.J. Hardy.

Today’s game is at 1:05 on MASN.
