Ferry boat trial deemed a successThe Post
I have posted a few times about a commuter ferry/water taxi running up and down the Potomac River. A few days ago a trial run happened from Quantico:

The test began just after 10 a.m. in brisk wind, steady spray from the river and light fog. The choppy river was no match for Glasfeld’s MS Provincetown III, the 98-foot long twin hulled catamaran chartered for Thursday’s run.

Gray said MetroMarine still needs VDOT approval for its commuter ferry. In the spring, he predicted, they would be making more test runs to document travel times and wake measurements from the shoreline.

From Quantico, it took 47 minutes to get to the Wilson Bridge and 57 to the ballpark site.
