Maxwell House creating a stir with toll-free travelUSA Today
How can coffee giant Maxwell House give away free tolls and subway fare and skip D.C.?

Between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., Maxwell House coffee will pick up the tab for all motorists at toll plazas in eight U.S. cities — Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Miami, Denver, Atlanta and Pittsburgh. It also will distribute fare cards at five New York subway stations.

Wait a minute, how can they do this in ever other major city in the Northeast Corridor and not include D.C.? This is like when the Mooninites skipped us. Even more insulting is Maxwell House has gone onto second and third tier cities instead of us. The second largest subway system in the country is here and the Dulles Toll Road comes as close to D.C. as the toll roads around Denver and Pittsburgh. I’m soooo offended.

From now on, I’m not buying any Maxwell House coffee.
