For the Nats, Upgrades Could Be a Real Deal – The Post
The first meeting of MLB GMs starts today in Orlando, so there may be a trade or two coming up. The company line is still a preference for building from within over trades and free agency, but with Jim Bowden around I expect something to happen. The club has already spoken to a few of the “marquee” centerfielders out there, but I would be surprised if either Torii Hunter or Aaron Rowland is wearing a curly W next year. Andruw Jones seems more likely, but is coming off a poor 2007 season.
