VS.
Penn State Nittany Lions 26 Purdue Boilermakers 19
Overall I was pleased with Penn State’s victory on Saturday. Despite falling behind early, they toughened up on defense and didn’t panic on offense, giving them a chance to come back. Anthony Morelli had turnover free game too, who’d of thunk?
OLB Sean Lee striping the ball and recovering the fumble was the play of the game. Had he not done that Penn State would have had to come back from 14 down, an insurmountable feat.
I’m pleased to see that Evan Royster is now the feature back, he has a bright future ahead of him.
Although it seemed like Purdue dominated at times on offense, they didn’t get a single touchdown.
CB Justin King had a mixed day, instead of simply an awful one. Progress!
The officiating was awful, even by Big11Ten standards. The play that had Joe Tiller holding his nose and pointing at the officials (anybody have a screengrab?) was a valid personal foul though. Some of the others were iffy, but on the whole consistent. The Purdue receiver stepping out of bounds and the clock still running baffled me.
Welcome back, Derrick Williams.
Another solid game by Dan Connor on Senior Day; 11 tackles for the all-time Penn State record.
I wasn’t there, so who got the loudest cheers during pregame introductions? How was Morelli treated.
Unlike some bad announcers, I was able to tune out the two this week very quickly.
Why do people drool over Erin Andrews? She’s got great hair, but is only average looking.
I didn’t do a pregame and the postgame is three days after the fact — I’ll try to do better next time. I haven’t even toasted the victory yet, but will when I get home from work.
