Our first little snow storm of the season turned out to be a little more than expected, didn’t it? The DOTs got caught off guard and didn’t treat the roads in time. Oops! Bob Marbourg was going nuts on WTOP around 1 p.m. Long story short — live Doppler radar means no excuses for not treating the roads. He also said if schools let out early, it would be “a double-cross” to those parents who struggled driving in, only to have to go out again so soon. It was pretty funny.

I had no problems with the road conditions, but avoided the Beltway when I saw the line to get on it. Back roads were fine.

Doug Hill mentioned that four out of the last five December 5’s have had snow.

I’ll try to get some measurements tomorrow morning. I need to dig out the ruler.
