Cordero Avoids Arbitration, Agrees to a One-Year Deal – The Post
A leaner Chad Cordero agreed to a one year, $6.2 million with the Nationals, avoiding arbitration. He did not want to go through that hassle again.
Jason Bergmann feels he has to earn a spot in the rotation this spring training, even though he was a mainstay last season. He will be at the Health and Fitness Expo at the Convention Center today as part of the Nats 2008 Winter Tour.
Also, the Nats agreed to terms with “infielder-outfielder Kory Casto, left-handers Ross Detwiler and John Lannan, right-handers Garrett Mock and Chris Schroder, first basemen Josh Whitesell and Matt Whitney and outfielder Lastings Milledge.”
