Last night’s win over Carolina before a packed and fired up Verizon Center was great for the Capitals. However, in the standings it merely meant Washington kept pace. They still need to win out and hope for others in front of them to fall in order to reach the playoffs. Oh man, I sound like Caps Nut now.

Washington got the calls last night, but it may not be enough to make up for the awful call from Toronto in the previous meeting with Carolina that overruled a “no goal” call on the ice that resulted in overtime and a point for the Hurricanes.
