The Nats ended their two game losing streak last night. American Hero John Lannan gave up one run over six innings, despite yielding six Astros hits. Willie Harris and Rob Mackowiak both hit their first home runs of the season and the 2-5 slots in the batting order went 10 for 19. Minute Maid Park is a goofy diamond, but if it helps get everybody hitting again so be it.

The orgainizatin’s top two catchers, Paul Lo Duca and Johnny Estrada, are on the DL. No worries though, the peoples’ champions, Jesus Flores and Wil Nieves, get to play. Lo Duca, who broke his hand, may not return until July and Estrada, who is suffering from ulnar neuritis to his right arm, has no timetable to return.
