Chronic arm problems have ended the once promising career of original Nationals pitcher and Opening Day 2007 starter John Patterson. He has stopped trying to come back from his injuries. In 2005, Patterson was the ace of the staff, winning 9 games and not getting run support in other quality starts. Patterson never regained his form and was cut last year in spring training. He married Miss D.C. 2005 too.
