D.C.’s premier team, our nation’s Capitals had a big weekend of back-to-back afternoon wins. On Saturday, they doubled-up the Red Wings with a “sleepy” Alex Ovechkin scoring twice in the third period to win it 4-2.
On Sunday, Ovi was not content with a mere two goals, getting a hat-trick. The Caps took out the Ottawa Senators 7-4.
They head up to Newark for Tuesday nights games against the Devils who are pretty hot themselves. They do so without the services of captain Chris Clark who is shutting it down because of his injured wrist. Hopefully they can get the two points because this is a La Coupe Hauxer contest as well.
