Rob Neyer on the Nationals outfield

ROB NEYER – Getting something from Kearns key for NationalsESPN
ESPN’s stats guru Neyer evaluates the Nationals overstuffed outfield and takes a few shots at a former general manager. Basically, the odd man out is Austin Kearns, previously the highest paid player on the club before his buddy Adam Dunn signed. What do with with so many outfielders is a big challenge this season and in an ideal world Kearns would be traded. Neyer sees Josh Willingham platooning at first with Nick Johnson. He thinks Willie Harris stays on as a bench player, but does not suggest just getting rid of Wily Mo Pena altogether which would be my preference.
