Nationals Hit the Repeat Button – The Post
Olsen’s first start is one to forget – The Wash. Times
True story — in eighth grade there was a kid named Scott Olsen who wet his pants in math class. I bring this up because last night’s Washington pitcher pretty much did that in Florida. Against his former team, Olsen had the worst start of his life, giving up 8 runs over 3 innnings. Ugh. 3B Ryan Zimmerman had another error too. The two bright spots — the bullpen did not give up a run adn Austin Kearns hit a homer.
Milledge Struggling In Both of His Roles – The Post
Lastings Milledge has not been able to field or hit so far this year. Bad news for someone playing centerfield and batting leadoff.
Chacin signs with Phillies after release – The Wash. Times
LHP Gustavo Chacin was let go by the Nationals organization and promptly picked up by the Phillies. The Nats did not want him blocking any of the young pitchers in the minor leagues.
The Nats return for the final game of the series at 12:10 p.m. If they get blown out again, somebody is going to make a “Downfall” video about the Nats — that is if anyone still cares.
