Rain Doesn’t Dampen Zimmermann’s Debut – The Post
Zimmermann picks up first big-league win – The Wash. Times
The Nationals second win of the season was Jordan Zimmermann‘s first in MLB. The young righty gave up two runs on a Matt Diaz home run, but nothing else over six innings. Four relievers held the Braves scoreless and Joel Hanrahan got his first save. Sadly, nobody saw it, as only 12,000 + tickets were sold (yikes) and only about 70 people stayed until the end of the game. Apparently, about 7% of those still there are people I follow/am followed by on Twitter and Google Reader. If Zimmermann becomes as good as advertised, the number of people claiming to have stayed there will be much, much larger.
I told you there was hope!
