Loss, win, rainout: For that Nats that is a good series

Yesterday, it rained (The Post) and the Nationals vs. Cardinals game was postponed. Finding a date to make it up (The Wash. Times) will not be easy.

Saturday was a pretty good day for the Nats as Shairon Martis pitched the first Washington complete game (The Wash. Times) since 2006 (The Post) when the immortal Pistachio, Pedro Astachio did it.

Friday, Jordan Zimmermann had his first poor MLB outing and lost to St. Louis.

More piling on Jim Bowden (The Wash. Times) after it is way too late. The D.C. sportswriters are about three years too late in crushing Bowden.

They are going to try and get tonight’s game with the Houston Astros in, but the weather does not look promising. Perhaps some sort of doubleheader will be needed tomorrow. I’m going to the 12:35 p.m. game with complimentary tickets — I have an extra. Section 112 I think.
