Nats lose rainy game to Cardinals

Nats Endure Soggy Loss In Makeup Vs. CardsThe Post
Rain only delays inevitable for NationalsThe Wash. Times
Colin Balister‘s first 2009 MLB start did not go well as he gave up three runs to the visiting Cardinals. The game, rained out on May 3, was shortened in the 7th after two rain delays were followed by a 12 minute long downpour with the tarp off the field. Tyler Clippard gave up the other run in the Nats 4-1 loss. In the 6th, Alberto Gonzales doubled Adam Dunn in for the only Nats run. In the first, a Dunn error allowed a runner, who forgot to tag second base (no appeal), to score.

The Nats have had over 30 hours of rain delays this year over 16 games, including 11 home games. Talk about being under a black cloud…

Olsen has successful surgeryThe Wash. Times

Don’t forget, Mark Lerner was interviewed by Bill Ladson.
