The 2010 Washington Nationals schedule is out. The good news is they open the season at home vs. the Phillies, as the team in the Nation’s Capital should every season. They also play on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, July 4 and Labor Day. I’d trade Labor Day for Memorial Day, but that’s the way it goes. Overall, MLB actually put together a good schedule holiday-wise for Washington. It must have been an accident.
The interleague series this year will be against the AL Central. The White Sox come here on Father’s Day which means the president will finally show up to a Nats game. He ought to be there on April 5 for Opening Day too.
The hated Orioles are in town May 21-23, so get your anti-MASN/Angelos signs ready then. I won’t mention when the Nats go to Baltimore, because no good Washingtonian will send Peter Angelos another subsidy.
Also of note, the Nats go to PNC Park on Labor Day weekend, though not Labor Day itself. Maybe I’ll see Penn State on Saturday and the Nats on Sunday. We shall see.
