Washington Capitals’ winning streak ends at 14 games with loss to Montreal – The Post
The longest winning streak in Washington Capitals history and longest by a D.C. team in 98 years when the Senators won 17 straight (Natoinals Pride) ended last night with 8 seconds left in overtime against the Canadiens at Bell Centre. They came back from being 5-2 defecit. Brooks Laich had a had a hat trick, his first ever I believe. Alex Ovechkin though got the following goal waived off:

Nevertheless, the Caps got a point on the road and reminded us they can never be counted out yet again. they have 29 points in their last 15 games. Ted Leonsis is thankful and keeping it in perspective. Streaks are nice, but they are not the goal. The goal is a big shiny trophy awarded in June.
