The longest winning streak in Washington Capitals history and longest by a D.C. team in 98 years when the Senators won 17 straight (Natoinals Pride) ended last night with 8 seconds left in overtime against the Canadiens at Bell Centre. Nevertheless, the Caps got a point on the road and reminded us they can never be counted out yet again. they have 29 points in their last 15 games. Ted Leonsis is thankful and keeping it in perspective. Streaks are nice, but they are not the goal. The goal is a big shiny trophy awarded in June.
