Game 1: Capitals fall in OT to Canadiens

Top-seeded Washington Capitals fall, 3-2 in overtime, to Canadiens in Game 1 of first-round Stanley Cup playoff seriesThe Post
I’m not shocked the Washington Capitals lost to the Montréal Canadiens last night – Bruce Boudreau sounded too defensive in remarks over the last two days and that may have set the tone. I am kind of surprised that Alex Ovechkin was completely shut down offensively though. I don’t expect that to happen again and even with it, the Habs needed overtime to get the win.

Oh note, the last three times (at least) the Caps won game 1 they lost the playoff series.
