Rob Dibble is a curse that keeps on giving (or is it taking?)

There have been a lot of pixels generated about the “analyst” for MASN’s Washington Nationals telecasts, Rob Dibble. The former Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher (a recurring theme of the franchise’s time in D.C.) was called out by GQ as being part of the 5th worst announcing team in the majors. Obviously, that isn’t just Dibble but his broadcasting partner Bob Carpenter is included. I don’t have a strong feeling about Carpenter, but others do.

Dibble and Carpenter were also the subject of a Mr. Irrelevant drinking game that I contributed some suggestions to as well. By the way, I salute the spirit of the game, if not the actual participation in it.

Lastly, Dibble looked like a bigger doofus than normal (Half-Smokes, DC SB Nation) at the All-Star Game yesterday.

This and the preceding posts about Dibble have been written because I really want the guy fired. He’s terrible and can’t be helping a team that’s the 27th most-liked in baseball (DC Sports Bog, The Post).
