I did not watch the Washington Redskins vs. Detroit Lions game very closely yesterday. It was on in the background without sound while we had some out of state friends over. I anticipated the Lions would win and was correct. My friend J.J. is excited that the Lions are 2-0 against the Redskins the last two seasons and something like 2-19 against the rest of the league. After losing two years in a row to the Lions, I don’t think you could say that the Redskins play down to them.
Oh and Mike Shannahn pulling Donovan McNabb for the 2-minute drill at the end of the game? We now get lots of discussion and overanalysis over the next 12 days before the Eagles game. That Rex Grossman managed to get sack and fumble (that was returned for a touchdown) on his first play just ices it.
