LANDOVER, Md. — Since I retired from tailgating prior to my son being born, I started going to the 2thelion tailgates on my rare trips to Penn State games. For big games, they team up with Diesel Tailgate. These folks go all out.

Yup, that’s a pig. We had it post-game. I got talked into eating a whole leg by a vegan. Yummy, now I know what I’ve been missing at Renaissance Faires all these years.

Throughout the day, passers by in cars, buses and on foot gaped at the main entree.

At FedEx Field, the RV lots are the furthest you can get from the Morgan Blvd. Metro station. We wound up walking about 1.5 miles to get there. Add in the walks to the stadium and back to the Metro (on both ends of the ride) and it wound up being well over 5 miles. I don’t feel bad about indulging a little over there.
