Remember when the Intercounty Connector (MD 200) opened and people were wondering when Google Maps and other online mapping services would add the road to their options? Well, wonder no longer, but as The Sun reports, the real question is when will Google Maps get the ICC right?
As you can see in the embedded map below, the ICC is listed as complete to I-95. That is incorrect, the road is only complete between I-370 near Gaithersburg and MD 97 Georgia Avenue north of Wheaton.
Don’t bother driving east past MD 97 unless you have 4 wheel drive and an willingness to get a very expensive ticket
I’m snickering a little because as cool as online maps are, I don’t trust them as much as the old dead-tree maps that I can look at for hours. Let’s see how long until Google Maps get it right.
