Penn State 2011 Blue White Game storylines

Here are the same Nittany Lions storylines that happen annually at the Blue White Game:

1. Has a quarterback been decided upon?

Of course not, Rob Bolden and Matt McGloin are both getting most of the reps at starter, but Joe Paterno will not name one of them the starter. Bolden, who tried to leave the program in January, has not committed to staying, hinting that being named starter is the only way to gurantee staying. Paterno will call his bluff and I think Bolden stays.

2. Who got hurt?
Surprisingly, there is a long list of who isn’t playing made available by Intercollegiate Athletics.

DE Pete Massaro and TE Gary Gilliam are both out for the season with knee injuries. Curtis Drake broke his leg and may miss the season.

3. The forecast

As always, it is 49° with rain, though Accuweather and Weather.com are off by a degree. Accuweather had it right yesterday.

4. How does JoePa sound?
He sounds old, but seems with it for the most part:

5. Is it televised?

Yes, but on tape delay — 9 p.m. Saturday night on Big Ten Network. Can’t remember what channel it is on for you? Go to their channelfinder.

Also, this is the final appearance of Penn State jerseys with contrasting trim on them, they went and “fixed” what wasn’t broken.
