Yesterday, three D.C. teams played concurrently and all won — two over Boston area teams. The Washington Capitals beat the Boston Bruins 2-1 in the second overtime in the game 2 of the NHL playoffs to take home ice advantage.
Just minutes earlier, the Washington Nationals beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 behind Edwin Jackson’s complete game (The Post) in his home debut. Why won’t MLB let me embed video until the day after?
This followed a 13 inning win on Friday night:
DC United beat the New England Revolution at Foxoboro, 2-1 (The Post).
The Wizards lost though. Of course.
