The Washington Nationals again addressed their position on paying to keep Metro open if a game goes long – NO (DC Sports Bog, The Post). They choose poorly. Not risking $29,500 is short-sighted and cheap.
Also, tonight the Nats will honor a visiting player in a pregame ceremony:
Fans should arrive early tonight to see the pregame ceremony at 6:40pm honoring Chipper Jones prior to his final regular season game in DC.

So, by the end of the evening, the Nats will have honored Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves, but not Frank Howard of the Washington Senators. Huh?
The development of the franchise on the field is so far ahead of off the field.
