School may not close on account of prettiness, but apparently a two-hour delay is fair game. Alexandria City Public Schools and many other systems are delayed this morning:

There was about an inch of beautiful white powder on my wife’s car at 5:45 a.m. The sidewalks were white and untreated for the second snowfall in a row by my condo association.
