DC Brau, served in a frosty Washington Nationals mug with a chili half-smoke

A happy 10th anniversary to DC Brau, Washington’s first production brewery since 1956.

DC Brau was part of the class of 2011 of craft breweries in and around the Capital Beltway. Hoppy ales and beautiful, District flag-centric branding, has been their hallmark ever since.

Washingtonian magazine’s interview: DC’s First Modern Brewery Is 10 Years Old Today

DC Brau has become a staple of the restaurant and bar scene and helped pave the way for the District’s modern brewing industry. My favorite DC Braus

Oktoberfest – Best enjoyed at a late season game at Nationals Park. Maybe this year?

Penn Quarter Porter – Another limited release that I try to enjoy annually.

Spoiler alert – I prefer lagers over ales.
